"NSAC takes a walk on the wild side.” Returning as what is said to be one of NSAC’s signature programs, our 6th & 7th grade children will experience the Nightcrawler Program hosted by the Atlanta Zoo. In the wild, animals have very interesting nocturnal instincts. The children will observe the animal habitats during our overnight stay. Additionally, children will be educated on how the animals are cared for through Vet care and their unique feeding requirements. They will also learn about how the Zookeepers maintain the animal’s engagement and happiness through their enrichment programs. Zookeepers have all sorts of responsibilities, and the children will learn about careers in animal keeping and how they impact conservation for wildlife locally and all over the world. We will conclude our evening tours with a light supper and will dismiss the next morning with a continental to-go breakfast. Furthermore, the children will model /discuss up to 3 Leadership modules and the financial module entitled, Risky Business: Risks, Reward, & Return.
We Are One Accommodations: This event takes place overnight. If special accommodations are needed, we will incorporate a buddy system and any additional accommodations that are needed.
