It has been our pleasure to be a part of North Suburban Atlanta Chapter since transferring in 2012. Ashanti, who graduated out in 2015, has continued to connect with other Jack and Jillerson her campus at Tuskegee University through the campus’ Jack and Jill Alumni group. Nasir, who will graduate from high school this year, has already connected with a few students that are Jack and Jill alums at Tennessee State University, where he will matriculate in the fall. I am looking forward to this change in my “nest.” I don’t consider it “empty” since my now young-adults will return home on their breaks and upon graduation. One day, they will have their own families and my nestwill hopefully include grandchildren. That’s the beauty of life and its transitions. That’s the beauty of motherhood.

Having children offers us so many wonderful milestones to celebrate. I pray that you are enjoying every step of this wonderful journey that God has blessed us with as mothers. We get to bring life into this world to shape and mold those lives into wonderful human beings that will help further the causes of kindness, charity and love. Thank you North Suburban Atlanta Chapter.
